Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a round cake pan, about 9 inches in diameter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk together the yogurt, sugar, melted butter, milk, and eggs. Add vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir gently until just combined.
Baking
- Pour a thin layer of the batter into the prepared pan, enough to cover the bottom.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Carefully remove the first layer from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before adding another thin layer of batter.
- Bake each subsequent layer for 10-12 minutes, repeating this process until all the batter is used.
- Once all the layers are baked, allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
- Unmold and place it on a serving platter.
Decoration
- Add your favorite toppings, such as a dusting of powdered sugar, fresh berries, or whipped cream before slicing and serving.
