- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and spread half the bread cubes in the bottom.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Drop spoonfuls over the bread layer.
- Sprinkle half of the strawberries on top.
- Add the remaining bread cubes and top with the rest of the strawberries.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, and maple syrup until combined. Pour evenly over the bread mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours).
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, until golden and set in the middle.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve with whipped cream and extra strawberries.
Notes
Can be prepared the night before for stress-free mornings.
Swap strawberries for blueberries, raspberries, or a mix.
Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat in the oven or microwave.
