Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Layer sliced bananas evenly in the bottom of the dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the bananas, spreading evenly.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg if desired.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, until golden and set.
- Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
For extra richness, drizzle caramel sauce over the top before serving.
Can substitute part of the milk with cream for a creamier texture.
Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored covered in the fridge for 2–3 days.
