  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate) You can mix chocolate types for unique flavors.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gradually add in the brown sugar and granulated sugar, mixing until well combined.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to your mixture, blending until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until you have a soft dough. Be careful not to overmix!
  7. Gently fold in your chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  8. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, place dollops of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  2. Allow your cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze the cookies for up to 3 months.
