Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add in the brown sugar and granulated sugar, mixing until well combined.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to your mixture, blending until just combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until you have a soft dough. Be careful not to overmix!
- Gently fold in your chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, place dollops of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Allow your cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze the cookies for up to 3 months.
