Snowball Cookies

Buttery, melt-in-your-mouth cookies rolled in powdered sugar, perfect for holidays or anytime you crave a delicate, sweet treat.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar plus extra for rolling
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat butter and ½ cup powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  3. Gradually mix in flour and salt until a soft dough forms. Fold in nuts, if using.
  4. Scoop dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake 12–15 minutes, until edges are lightly golden but centers remain pale.
  6. Let cookies cool slightly, then roll in powdered sugar while still warm. Roll again after fully cooled for a snowy coating.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
Can add a touch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the dough for extra flavor.
