  • 1 pound beef steak (sirloin or flank), thinly sliced Marinate for extra flavor if desired.
Teriyaki Sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier option.
  • 1/4 cup mirin or substitute with an equal mix of honey and rice vinegar Mirin adds authentic sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening) Mix with water if needed.
Garnishes
  • to taste green onions, sliced Use for garnishing.
  • to taste sesame seeds Sprinkle on top before serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook your noodles according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
Making the Teriyaki Sauce
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger. If you'd like a thicker sauce, stir in cornstarch until fully blended.
Cooking the Steak and Shrimp
  1. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Return the cooked steak to the pan with the shrimp. Pour in the teriyaki sauce and toss to coat. Allow it to simmer for about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss gently to combine everything. Sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.
Serving
  1. Plate your Shrimp Teriyaki Steak Noodles and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
