Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces Salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each) Look for bright, firm fillets.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Plus extra if needed for cooking.
  • 1 to taste Salt Season generously.
  • 1 to taste Black pepper Season generously.
  • 1 piece lemon (zest and juice) Adds fresh flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill For garnish and flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Optional for added flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse the salmon fillets and pat them dry with a paper towel to promote even cooking.
  2. On a large plate, drizzle olive oil over the salmon. Sprinkle salt and black pepper generously on both sides.
Cooking
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a splash of olive oil if needed and allow it to heat until shimmering.
  2. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, without moving them around.
  3. Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes. In the last minute of cooking, add minced garlic if using.
  4. Pour in the lemon juice and sprinkle the lemon zest and fresh dill over the fillets. Let it cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  5. Transfer the salmon to a plate and garnish with extra lemon wedges and dill for a stunning presentation.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Reheat gently to maintain moisture.
