Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Stir until just combined. Gently fold in the lemon zest and lemon juice for that refreshing zing.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Glazing
- While the brownies are baking, combine the powdered sugar and lemon juice in a small bowl until smooth.
- Once the brownies are cool, drizzle the lemon glaze over the top, slice into squares, and enjoy!

Use fresh lemons for the best flavor. Don't overmix the batter to ensure a tender texture.
