Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite blend) You can mix various cheeses for added flavor.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter This provides rich flavor and helps with the puffing.
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 large eggs Beaten before adding to the mixture.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Enhances the overall flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional) For an extra layer of flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, water, salt, and garlic powder. Bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Once boiling, remove from heat and quickly stir in the flour until fully incorporated, creating a smooth mixture.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then beat in the eggs one at a time until it’s glossy and well mixed.
  5. Fold in the shredded cheese, ensuring it’s evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Use a spoon or piping bag to drop small dollops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each dollop.
  7. Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm and enjoy!
