- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, flour, and salt. Stir until well combined.
- Add the milk, melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Stir until just combined but do not overmix.
- Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish and pour the mixture into it. Do not worry about it looking uneven; it will set up beautifully in the oven.
- Place your baking dish in the preheated oven and let it bake for about 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or chilled, with your favorite topping if desired.
Notes
Top it off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream to enhance flavors. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
