Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated (optional) Adds a nice flavor
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional) Adds richness and depth of flavor
Vegetables
  • 4 cup vegetables of your choice (bell peppers, onions, zucchini, and/or pineapple) Customizable based on preference
Miscellaneous
  • 4-6 wooden or metal skewers Soak wooden skewers in water for about 30 minutes before grilling

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
  2. Add the cut chicken pieces to the bowl, ensuring they are well coated in the marinade. Cover and let it sit in the fridge for at least 15-30 minutes.
  3. While the chicken is marinating, chop your chosen vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
Grilling
  1. Thread pieces of chicken and vegetables alternately onto skewers.
  2. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the kabobs for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally.
  3. Once done, take your kabobs off the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Experiment with different proteins or vegetables; tofu and shrimp are great alternatives. Marinate overnight for more intense flavor and use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F.
