Ingredients

Dough Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • water Gradually mix enough to form a soft dough.
Filling Ingredients
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices Can substitute with vegetables, cooked chicken, or other preferred fillings.
  • 1 egg For egg wash.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and olive oil. Gradually mix in enough water to form a soft dough. Knead for a few minutes until smooth.
  3. Lightly flour your surface and roll out the dough into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
  4. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly and arrange pepperoni slices on top.
  5. Carefully roll the dough away from you into a tight log. Slice the log into bite-sized pieces (about 1-2 inches thick).
Baking
  1. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  2. Bake the pizza rolls in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  3. Let them cool slightly before serving with extra pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

For a perfect bake, keep an eye on the rolls to avoid burning. Enjoy with a side salad or garlic bread sticks.
