Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and olive oil. Gradually mix in enough water to form a soft dough. Knead for a few minutes until smooth.
- Lightly flour your surface and roll out the dough into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
- Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly and arrange pepperoni slices on top.
- Carefully roll the dough away from you into a tight log. Slice the log into bite-sized pieces (about 1-2 inches thick).
Baking
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake the pizza rolls in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let them cool slightly before serving with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
For a perfect bake, keep an eye on the rolls to avoid burning. Enjoy with a side salad or garlic bread sticks.
