- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Keep an eye on it—do not let it brown.

- Once the cheese is nearly fully melted, sprinkle in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- When the cheese is melted and your desired consistency is achieved, remove it from the heat. Serve warm with your favorite dippers like tortilla chips, bread, or fresh vegetables.
