Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (a mix of cheddar and mozzarella)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Keep an eye on it—do not let it brown.
  2. Once the butter has melted, pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly. Allow the mixture to warm up gently, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Gradually add the shredded cheese to the saucepan, little by little, while stirring continuously to ensure a smooth melt without clumping.
  4. Once the cheese is nearly fully melted, sprinkle in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  5. When the cheese is melted and your desired consistency is achieved, remove it from the heat. Serve warm with your favorite dippers like tortilla chips, bread, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider customizing your melted cheese with toppings like diced jalapeños or sautéed onions. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
