  • 2 cups heavy cream Use more cream for a creamier texture.
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar Ensure sugar is fully dissolved.
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract Can be swapped for other extracts.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the mixture is smooth, and the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Pour the ice cream base into an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Churning
  1. Pour your chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually for around 20-30 minutes, until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  2. Transfer the churned ice cream to a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until solid.
Serving
  1. Scoop and enjoy with your favorite toppings!

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Allow to sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before scooping for easier serving.
