Cooking
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the cooking oil.
- Add the ground chicken, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Toss in the sliced bell pepper and broccoli florets, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the veggies are tender but still crisp.
- In a bowl, combine orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and honey. Pour the mixture over the cooked chicken and vegetables in the skillet.
- Stir in the cornstarch-water mixture and allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve hot over rice or noodles, and enjoy!
Notes
For a lighter or vegetarian version, use ground turkey or plant-based ground meat. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 1 month. Add a splash of water or orange juice when reheating to keep it moist.
