Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Spread the pretzels in a single layer on a large baking sheet, ensuring they are well-spaced for even coating.
Cooking
- In a medium saucepan, combine the butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Allow the mixture to boil for 1-2 minutes without stirring, letting it thicken.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and baking soda. The mixture will bubble up.
- Pour the toffee mixture over the pretzels, using a spatula to coat them evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 8 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. While still warm, sprinkle a little sea salt on top.
- Once completely cooled, break the toffee pretzel clusters apart and enjoy.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. To store longer, freeze in a freezer-safe bag for up to three months. To recrisp, heat in the oven for a few minutes.
