Ingredients

Biscuit Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour For the best texture, use cold butter.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed Keep butter cold for a flaky texture.
  • 3/4 cup whole milk

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together until well incorporated.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter into the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to blend the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in the milk and gently mix until just combined. Avoid overmixing; you want those biscuits to be light and fluffy!
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead it gently 3-4 times. Pat it into a 1-inch thick rectangle.
  6. Using a biscuit cutter, cut out biscuits and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  8. Once baked, brush the tops with melted butter for that ultimate indulgence. Enjoy them warm!

Notes
