- In a bowl, combine sliced beef, soy sauce, and a pinch of black pepper. Set aside for at least 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water. This will serve as your zesty sauce.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced onions, bell peppers, and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the veggies are tender yet crisp.
- Push the veggies to one side of the pan; add marinated beef to the other side and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Pour the sauce over the beef and veggies, mixing well to incorporate everything. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat, taste, and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
Leftovers are great for a quick lunch! Store uneaten Best Ever Pepper Steak in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For freezing, portion it into freezer-safe bags for up to 3 months. To reheat, place your pepper steak in a skillet with a splash of water or broth to keep it moist, or microwave until heated through.
