Apple Walnut Salad

A crisp and refreshing salad featuring sweet apples, crunchy walnuts, and mixed greens, tossed in a tangy vinaigrette. Perfect as a side or light meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups mixed greens spinach, arugula, or romaine
  • 2 medium apples thinly sliced
  • ½ cup walnuts toasted
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries optional
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta or goat cheese optional
  • Dressing:
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Whisk or jar with lid

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, apple slices, toasted walnuts, and dried cranberries.
  2. In a small bowl or jar, whisk together olive oil, apple cider vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
  3. Drizzle dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
  4. Top with crumbled feta or goat cheese, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crunch, add thinly sliced celery or radishes.
Store salad and dressing separately if preparing ahead of time.
Can add grilled chicken or tofu to make it a complete meal.
