Ingredients
  

Marinade
  • 4 pieces chicken pieces (legs, thighs, or breasts)
  • 1 cup buttermilk For marinating the chicken
Coating
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika For additional flavor
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to spray Cooking spray (olive oil or avocado oil) For air frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, soak the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, letting any excess drip off and dredge each piece in the flour mixture.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray and place the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  2. Cook for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  3. Check that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) for safe consumption.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Consider marinating the chicken overnight for richer flavor. Don't overcrowd the basket to ensure crispiness.
