Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour The backbone of our rolls, providing the necessary structure.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder To help them rise quickly and achieve that fluffy texture.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Bringing the flavor powerhouse to life!
  • 1 teaspoon salt Enhances all the other flavors.
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk Contributes to the rolls' moisture and softness.
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Adds richness and aids in the roll's lovely texture.
Toppings
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese A must-have topping for that savory finish.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped Optional for a pop of color and flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Whisk them well until combined.
  3. Pour in the milk and melted butter, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix; a few lumps are perfectly fine.
  4. Use a spoon or your hands to scoop out portions of dough and shape them into small balls (about the size of a golf ball).
  5. Arrange the formed dough balls on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet, giving them a little room to rise.
Baking
  1. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the rolls.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. After taking them out of the oven, brush some melted butter over the top of the rolls. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley if desired!

Notes

Don’t Over-Mix: The dough should be just combined; a few lumps are okay. Warm Milk: Slightly warm the milk before adding it to the dry ingredients to help the dough rise better. Rest the Dough: If you have an extra 5 minutes, let the dough rest before shaping for fluffier rolls. Experiment with Cheese: Switch it up with mozzarella or cheddar cheese for different flavors.
